Marcus walked into teh room quietly, a large grin on hsi face he spoke rather loudly. "No need to stop talking on ym account." He said jokingly, the room was rather quiet except for a few idle chatter from some of the more friendly people. Mostly the room was quiet, and chilling without a single real friendly conversation going on. They were all supposed to be friends, but sometimes Marcus got the feeling they were less friends than was intended, or even needed.

With a shake of her head, Channing punched Ed in the shoulder, grinning mischieviously. "Will you stop being so goddamn peppy? You're making the rest of us look bad." She nodded to the camera, waving to it and blowing it a kiss before turning back to Ed. "That is some crazy shit you just pulled, making the music louder and all... Good song too.." She laughed and started humming it to herself. A hand went to her hair, ruffling it out of habit. She turned to Siv, an eyebrow raised, "So whens this shit gonna start?" It was the question on everyones mind, of course.. I'm just the only one with the balls to ask it. Channing snorted at her own personal joke inside her head, waiting for Siv to pipe up.

Som smiled at Hawk, and laughed as she punched him. He quickly switched frequencies back to his ears only, listening to the loud music with one ear and hearing the rest of the room with the other. As Hawk asked the question, he smiled even brighter, and said, in a perfect impression of Channing's voice,
"Yeah, Siv, when's this shit gonna get started? I've been waiting forever, like, you know? Hehe!"
It sounded so exactly like her, in pitch and tone and everything, but the last few were words that only a Valley girl would use, and he knew Hawk would probably hit him again for them. But he was fooling around anyways. He chuckled brightly, and leaned way back in his chair, hoping to maybe unbalance and make an ass out of himself in the process. That would be fun, wouldn't it?

“The shit will start, when it starts…” Ivory had originally intended to stay silent until the beginning of the meeting but the bright singing of Ed had managed to get to her. Then his imitation had forced her to withhold a bitter comment, it being the last straw. Chilled voice still hanging in the air, she glanced in his direction. “Until then…patience comrade.”
Gaze forward, she closed her eyes as she raised her shades. Squeezing the bridge of her nose, Ivory counted to herself in a brief whisper, opening her eyes as she let the shades fall back over her eyes. She leaned back, folding her hands behind her damp raven hair. “Hmm…” The idea came to leave the briefing room, a curiosity nagging at her. Deciding to show what she preached, she stayed seat, saving any little adventures for later in the day…

Verity opened one eye and looked at Som, he was teetering on the edge of causing his chair to fall back. Her mind reached out brushing the chairs surface. Would she? Verity knew Som wanted his chair to fall the only thing was did she want to help him. hmmmm... Facexpressionless Verity closed her eyes again and gripped the back legs sweeping them forwards to the chair went over hitting the floor with a clatter and spilling Som out over the floor. The chair had ben moved just enough to throw him off balance but not for anyone to notice it had been here. Opening an eye again she looked at Som. 'thats dangerous... you'll crack your skull open, there are mean to be six legs on the floor. two of yours four of the chairs...' Verity's voice was monotoned and flat. Like usual. She rarely showed enthusiasim for anything, she closed her eyes and said no more.

"It'd better be starting soon...I've got better shit to do..." Marcus griined at Ivory as he said this, leanign back slightly in the chair he stared up at the ceiling. He heard Som's chair fall and he felt him hit the ground, the vibrations spreading rapidly through the floor. It was like a mini earchquake, and Marcus could feel it coursing throughout the office, but it wasn't normal, the chair didn't fall normally, and nor did Som. "For a cold bitch you sure like to play pranks..." Marcus said looking over at Verity, and smiling widely. All he had to do was reach out and feel the floor with his mind, his body, and he could tell she had done this. The movement was off, it wasn't natural.

"Untill then patience comrade!" Hawk mocked, her voice high and squeeky and all kiss-ass like. She snorted at her own joke, and was about to smack Som around for his valley-girl impression of herself, when he suddenly spilled onto the floor with an overly loud crash. For a moment, Channing looked concerned for him, her eyes widening, eyebrows almost reaching her hairline, but it soon faded, and she burst out laughing, in her harsh, loud laughter. She shook in her chair, banging a fist on the table and clutching her side.
"Dude.." she laughed, "You should have..." giggle, "...Seen your face!" Hawk laughed untill her stomach muscles hurt, nothing would shut her up.

Som rolled on the ground, laughing his ass off. It was exactly what he wanted, that one little push, just to make people smile. Of course, it had only worked on Channing. But hey...you take what you could get, and you enjoyed yourself doing it. That's how he lived most of his life. Enjoying what he could get. Of course, there were times in his life when he wasn't so happy. Times when the pain was just so great, when the hurt was so much, that he collapsed in anguish and cried out his sorrows to the cold, unfeeling steel. There were times when he went into combat completely unhinged, regardless of health or well-being, determined to accomplish the mission or die trying, even though it was a training mission. This, however, was not one of those times.
"Oh god! Oh god! That was good!" He crawled up and righted his chair, setting it back on four legs. Then he smiled at everyone in the room. His gaze paused at Verity. He had known what she had done...he knew that he was on the edge, too much of a temptation for the telekinetic to resist. And he quirked an eyebrow, and winked at her, thanking her for her little push. It hadn't been well-received, but it had been fun! Then he turned back to Hawk, and gave her a friendly pat on the shoulder.
"That was great! I wish I could have seen my face! Yeee haw, what a hoot!" And he chuckled again, adjusting his earpiece in his ear. Overall, the meeting was starting off well. He kinda wished they didn't have to get to the serious stuff soon. But oh well...that's what they were there for.

The slightest of smirks graced Siv's face as she chuckled at Som's fall. After her first several months of being here, she had caught on to his methods of trying to cheer people up. And she liked him for that. So many of the team were nothing but solemn and cold. It was refreshing to have not only a couple happy people like he and Hawk, but Som would even sacrifice his own well being to bring the mood up a bit. Siv couldn't help but to admire him for that and felt glad that he was a member of the team.
She opened her mouth to remind them that she wasn't the one to start the meeting; that the captain was, but that point was made obvious with the door opening once more and Captain Neilson stepping through the door. His eyes met with no one's as he walked to the front of the room and stood behind a podium. He looked around at the members of the team scattered throughout the room, few of them looking entirely prepared for much of anything. A small hint of a frown showed on his face before he cleared his throat, the disappointed look almost nonexistent afterwards. "Alright, listen up. We got a very serious situation here that unfortunately can't be handled by our usual forces. So we seem to have no choice but to send in this ridiculous group of kids." Siv scowled for a split second at the "kid" comment, as they were long since legally adults, and few of them still strongly resembled their younger selves in neither body nor mind. She swiped the feeling out of herself quickly, though, as she should try to stay as far away from the Captain's bad side as possible even if his good side had a questionable existence. So she sat there quietly, feeling slightly submissive for it, but fighting away the biting feeling and focusing on just listening to the Captain.
"However... There's no way in hell I'm sending you jackasses on a mission this important unless I can see for sure that you have what it takes to get the job done." Siv thought she spotted a bit of an evil grin gracing his face for a moment, but couldn't quite tell, as the Captain's lack of visible emotion tended to rival even Luna's at times. "Siv," the Captain said. Her attention peaked a bit at the sound of her name and her eyes locked with Captain Neilson's. "You, Luna-Wolf, Gardner, and Noob Saibot will be on team number 1". "Shade, Ghost Wolf, Som, and Hawk will make up team number 2". "Wait, teams for what?" Siv asked, a bit confused.
Just as she finished her question, two guards entered the room, each with a box in their hands. One stood on each side of the Captain and opened their boxes. Though noone could see inside from their lower angle sitting, the Captain removed one object from the box on his right and held it up. It was just a small black band, or so it seemed. "Siv, if you would come here, please." Siv stood compliantly, partially due to the order, but also out of sheer curiosity. She approached the podium and stood in front of the guard. "Please give me your wrist," Captain Neilson said. Siv rose her hand to him and the band was quickly slipped onto it. The Captain pushed a small button on one side and the center of the band began to glow red. "What is this?" she asked, only more confused thusfar. "This is a device that will not only designate what team you are on, but also control your abilities to allow anything and everything you do in this upcoming test to effect one another as merely a tag rather than causing potential injury or death. You'll still feel a bit of pain in direct attacks, but enough will be absorbed by the bracelet to leave you in fine condition." The Captain looked around at the members of the team, a slight smirk on his face, obviously going to enjoy watching this. "So... Come and get your bracelets and split into your teams. I'll lead you to the test course in just a few minutes."
OOC- I know everything got a lil sketchy near the end of that, but give me a break. I'm having some trouble remembering how studlydowrong explained this test course thing in the first ESWAT. Any questions or comments, just catch me on IM or send me a PM.

Verity rose from her seat and walked over to the capitain holding out her hnd so he could attack the band. That done she turned without a word and left the room. She would meet them at the start of the training course, right now houfh she wanted time to herself, thenagain Verity always wanted time by herself. Being around the others made her uneasy. How many times had she been tempted to invade thier thoughts to know what they knew, thier feelings on matters. Too many times she reflected. thier thoughtd were thier own that much verity understood she had no right to invade thier minds. but what of those we go up against i wonder? she sigghed giving herself a mental shake. Too often did Verity secon d guess herself, mostly because of all the powers hers was mostlikely the most deadly. to kill with a thought, without moving a muscle, thought had become a deadly thing ot her, almost to the pointwhen she was younger and still learning to even let herself tink. Over that time she had become almost automated. But with time came control and she found she could think, but still carefuly. Emotion was another danger, too much sent her out of control, it was easier to appear cold and unemotional, not just because it made people wary of her but because it helped her keep a tighter rien on her emotions.
Verity stopped her silent contemplation and found herself at the training door. No one else had appeared yet. Sighing out loud she lent against hte wall to wait.

This has got to be the stupidest thing we are ever going to be ask to do.
Toms demenour didn't change as he walked towards the captain and let the button be attatched to his wrist. Taking a few steps away from the captain, he stopped, turning his wrist to examine the object from every angle. A black lump, thin, yet quite sturdy looking, strapped around him with a glowing red band. He didn't understand exactly how something that small could absorb most of the power from any attack but, shrugging it off as he always did, before walking over to Siv. He finished off the sandwich before leaning against the nearest wall, slouching against it, his eyes far gone as though in thought, and waiting whatever would come next to happen.

What the..They glow Perfect..just fucking perfect
Nicholai thought as he snatched the bracelet from the Captains hands.
"I'l take that"
I said with a smile across my lips, While I hated the safety devices already. I finally had a chance to wipe the smile From Som's face. A rare chance indeed, with a smile on my face I felt as if blessed with this most rare of chances.
*
A few moments after leaving the briefing room. I walked down the well lit path, wearing my usuall combat attire. wearing a Swat like outfit (and light kevlar vest) I smillingly made my way through the corridors.
Not Knowing what to expect. I Treid to plan ahead. packing my basic equiptment, I couldn't help but smile thinking of my glorious victory. armed with a mp5 and a silenced pistol with hich ammo clip. (And various nonlethal grenades, including but not limited to flashbangs.)
short after I arrived at the Training Room Entrance They stripped Me from My Live ammo. Instead they gave me some kind of Paintball ammo, they said itshould only sting abit. Should was the right choice of words as they never really botherd, to test these buggers.
ooc: Eddited to remove lots of useless crap, and to somewhat improve my post.

Hell yeah! Chan smirked, bouncing from her seat and grabbing a rist band from one of the guards who held her teams box. She was skeptical about the bands, but she was ready to kick the shit out of anyone from the other team who came in her way. As she looked to her "teammates" she snorted in disgust. A free for all would have been better.. Because when I win, I don't have to share the glory...
Hawk snapped her finger and a flame appeared, her thumb looking like it was on fire. She smiled, and wondered how the bands would protect them from the heat. I'll melt their skin clean off if I have to. A malicious twinkle came into the girls eyes, and she turned to Som, tossing him a bracelet as well. "It's your lucky day sound-man, you don't have to go up against me. Too bad, I was really looking forward to kicking the shit out of you." Hawk laughed, mostly kidding, but you never were quite sure with her. Som would be the only one she would think twice about hurting, and even then, she didn't have any qualms if it meant getting what she wanted.
It would be a shame though, if he weren't here... He's the only one who understands why I hate this fucking place...
It took Channing a mere ten minutes to ready herself, deciding mines and grenades would be close to useless for this particular mission. Not with a telekenetic on their side. So, she was armed with her shotgun, berettas, and Special Agent Stinger, wearing her kevlar vest and shorts, opting for some top of the line sneakers to help with her manuverability. This will be fun... She smirked, cracking her knuckles..

Som stood up and caught his bracelet from Hawk, snapping it onto his wrist. It wasn't exactly uncomfortable, but it wasn't a fashion accessory he preferred to wear more than once. He stood there, scratching at it, and watched as the others moved about the room, getting bracelets and leaving quietly. Then, giving a smile around the room, especially at his new teammates, he jauntily walked from the briefing room, heading to his quarters and his gun locker.
**********************************************
It only took a little while before he walked down another hallway towards the room, his step quick and intent, his body alert and tense. He wore his modified M16 on his back, modified of course to shoot only paintballs and nothing else. His modified USPs were at each hip, and he wore his combat knife, although he didn't plan on drawing any blood. Of course, things didn't always go as planned. He sure as hell didn't want to hurt anyone now, but in the heat of battle....well....
As he walked, anyone watching would have noticed a change come over him. He was preparing for combat, and this showed across his entire body. His usually smiling, happy face had gone sour, dark, intense. His jaunty stepped turned military, strong, purposeful. And his body was no longer carefree and loose, but tense and alert, ready for anything. His entire demeanor changed whenever he went into combat situations, and sometimes, that change could be deadly. He was known for his insanity in battle, his bloodlust and his rage in combat. All that linked back to his hatred for his captors and trainers, his absolute rage towards them transfering itself into a usable form on the battlefield. He would fight like a caged tiger, fight with desperate abandon and complete disregard for human life, even his own, if that's what needed to happen. He was the quintessential warrior.
Reaching the doorway into the training room, he stood there at attention, his gaze unwavering. He was at a completely different door from the other two, because he was on a different team, and they couldn't enter from the same side. It wouldn't make sense. And so he waited for his other teammates to arrive at the door and join him in battle, so they could start this exercise and move on to the real world. He wanted to get outside these four walls, to escape his prison here, and the only way to do that was to get an outside mission. Then, maybe then, he could sneak away. But until then, he would fight with utter abandon, and defeat the other team, to prove he was worthy to step outside the walls. And so he stood at attention, and waited for the others to arrive, to start the game and get the hell out.
