ImmortalityGraham "Vital" Harding (J5D25M)Status: InactiveName: Graham "Vital" Harding (Serial number: J5D25M)
Gender: Male
Age: 16 (Appears to be in his early-mid thirties)
Race: Android
Appearance: Originally quite the clean and cut type as a businessman and assassin, Graham has slowly diminished to dirty rags and leather, his face rough and scruffy with short facial hair. With this call, he has decided to clean up a bit, preferring to look professional if he is to need to meet with someone before he can even learn the details of the job. He shaved his peach fuzz beard, cleaned the dirt off of his face, and washed and cut his long hair so that it was much shorter (
About this long). He threw his filthy clothes into the closest and looked into the back of the small nook, pushing a few things aside to better see the suit. It was a sleek black four piece
suit that perfectly mixed professionalism with a “bad ass” feel, as well as allowing him full movement of his body. He puts on the suit and walks over to a nearby wooden chair. He sits down and reaches to the right of the chair where he pulls out two black dress
shoes and a pair of black socks rolled together. He slips on the socks and shoes, tying the strings and standing up slowly. He enters his kitchen and opens a cabinet where most people would keep their food. Instead, he pulls out several holsters and weapons, putting them in their respective places on his body. Graham walks back to the chair again, but instead of sitting, bends over and picks up the suitcase next to it. Harding steps into his bathroom and looks into the mirror, the familiar dark green eyes staring back at him with a certain lifelike gleam. He forces a fake smile, adjusts his collar to perfect center, and mutters under his breath, “Well… Here we go…” and walks out the door, heading for the Milan Malpensa Airport.
Weapons:
Pin Sniper Rifle- A quiet, lightweight, and high powered sniper rifle that uses electromagnetism to fire small needles. At the velocity they are fired at, they can travel a kilometer before slowing down a significant degree. They can pierce most any armor, but get slowed down incredibly when traveling through something hard and dense enough (going through a sheet of metal is fine, but a wall is impossible, as is going deep into the ground. They can only travel half and inch or so into solid concrete). Cartridges are medium-small sized and filled with 50 pins each. He keeps this weapon split into multiple parts in a black briefcase with a silver rim.
Dual Glares- Two semi-automatic handguns which emit focused laser beams when fired. When armed, the guns stick two tiny prongs out of the handle and into the user’s hand. This allows the gun to connect with Harding’s synthetic nervous system ala a small electrical charge. When fired, the lasers will reflect off of any source until it finds the chosen target selected by his Targeting System (that is what the nerve connection is for). It should feel quite painful to attempt to arm and fire this weapon if used by anyone but an android due to the prongs and charge. This may also result in erratic spasms and twitching (Due to the electricity). Cartridges of 15 high pressure capsules are used for the ammo. The shape of the gun is much like this:
DG shape, but the color is much more silvery, shining quite attractively (but not so much that it will reflect light a noticeable degree). They are kept in holsters strapped to the outside of his thighs.
Stun Gun- A small handgun that fires a tiny, highly charged “bug” that can shock a target into unconsciousness. Small cartridges of 20 bugs each are used for the ammo. In appearance, it looks a lot like this:
SG look. It is kept in a small holster strapped on his left shoulder.
Twin Scims- Two slightly curved 14” daggers held with the blades facing out and back. The handle curves with the middle part closest to the hand and the blade curves so that the midsection is furthest out. The shape of the curves can be seen here:
TS curves. These daggers can be used for normal melee combat as well as stealth killing. They are kept in small holsters on his hips.
Enhancements:
“Humanity”- Due to the imperative need for no one at Clover & Company to know he was an android, Harding was upgraded with a many human attributes, including realistic hair growth, warmth, speech pattern, visible damage in the case of flesh wounds, and even a realistic smell. He actually has to take showers or he will smell just like an unclean human would. It is extremely difficult for anyone to discover his mechanical nature and he hides it himself at all costs. So far the only person to find out that he is an android has been the CEO of his original job, who was dealt with soon after.
Targeting System- Harding can add a crosshair into his field of vision any time he wishes by winking his left eye. This allows him to target and lock onto anyone and anything that he wishes. This is a vital ability to use his Glares.
Thermal Vision- Harding can change his view to see things by their temperatures by winking his right eye. He can adjust the temperatures for each color by will via a thermal chip in his “brain”.
Hawkeye- Harding is able to extend and retract his sight (zoom in or out) at will to allow him 20/20 vision at anywhere from 0-500 meters.
Voice Augmenter- Harding is able to manipulate his voice to sound like anyone else’s. This helps him tremendously when he needs to get through voice recognition security, among other situations.
Other: Graham Harding was originally created to be quite the competent businessman. He was brought in out of the blue out of a suggestion to the CEO of Clover & Company, a major law firm at the time, to become the company’s new Vice President after the previous one was killed in a horrible vehicle accident. No one Graham knew has any idea that he was an android, which was a good thing, too. Many people, such as the CEO himself, were avid robot haters. If he ever found out, Graham would surely be destroyed in a most brutal manner. Unfortunately, one day he did find out. Harding stumbled and nearly fell on his way to fill his mug with water, a tired look apparent on his face. After drinking from his cup, he became fully energized and moved about at 100%. It then became obvious to Harding’s boss just what he was. He began to act negatively around him, disagreeing with anything Graham said and overall showing hints of his hidden loathing. Graham noticed this change and did a bit of investigation. It didn’t take long for him to find that his suspicions were true. The CEO knew of his interior of solder and wire and was beginning to plan his demise. Harding came to the conclusion that his safest plan of action would be to murder the CEO and move into hiding. He performed the action simply and swiftly. Graham snuck a blade into work one morning and slit the man’s throat while he stood at a bathroom sink washing his hands. He was found nearly a half hour later lying on the floor in a small pool of his own blood. No one ever found the weapon or any evidence whatsoever pointing towards the true killer.
Harding took on the alias of “Vital” and became an assassin. He watched, planned, and killed without emotion due to his mechanical nature. He took the lives of those who he was hired to kill merely for the money for seven years solid without a second thought. During his years, he had gradually developed a philosophy about the world that grew greater by the day. After the first five years, though, his philosophy grew on him to form morals and ethics, though most believe robots cannot have morals or ethics. The point of a moral or ethic is registered in the android as a thought, allowing Graham to have opinions and beliefs about the world around him. These had remained mere thoughts, though. That is, until one day when he was hired to assassinate the leader of a particular drug syndicate. He followed the man for two weeks, observing his daily routine. Then the day came when he knew he would kill him. Harding had everything planned out. He would wait with his sniper rifle in the sixth floor of a factory abandoned not long ago and kill the man as he left his house for “work”. Everything was going as scheduled. The man left his house and walked towards his car as Vital rested his finger on the trigger. The man stopped at his car door and unlocked it. As he opened the door, his four year old daughter ran out the door to hug him goodbye. The man turned around and bent over to give his daughter a hug. As he let go of her and stood back up, she stepped away and waved goodbye to him, throwing in an, “I love you, Daddy!” Vital had not thought about the girl at all. He didn’t think about the joyous smile on the father’s face as he looked at his young child. He merely saw his target standing still and perfectly positions. He pulled the trigger back and the powerful needle shot out of the barrel, swiftly finding its mark in the man’s right temple. The pin sliced through the man’s head with ease, killing him in a fraction of a second before lodging itself into the ground in front of the little girl’s feet. As the man fell to the ground, his eyes glazed over, the girl stood there stunned. Blood began to trickle from the two diminutive holes in his head as tears began to pour from her eyes. She screamed out for her father and fell to her knees over his body. Vital watched, wondering for a moment why she felt so sad. Slowly, but surely, he came to realize the connection humans share with one another, particularly those within one’s own family. He realized that the people he killed not only affected his wallet or his employer’s happiness, but that it affected many more people in much deeper ways than he could have possibly imagined. That day, Harding gave up the life of an assassin as well as the alias of “Vital” and moved on to other things.
Graham began to do small legitimate jobs here and there, trying to keep up a good income, but gave up after only a year. Now he lives in a small, run down apartment, getting by mainly due to theft. He will still sometimes take a job in which he can exercise his skills, but only if it does not conflict with his morals, making a bit more like a vigilante for hire than an assassin as he was in his earlier days. Due to the sheer rarity of job offers of this nature, he can still barely get the expenses he needs to get by with decency.
