Okay, before I rewrite this old idea, I think I should get some suggestions on a few things.
First, let me give you a synopsis. The story revolves around a group of teens and young adults (20 is probably the maximum I'll consider for anyone's age, if even that). These adolescents all happen to be near a research facility when there is some sort of blinding white light in what seems to be an explosion. The light comes off of the building in some sort of shockwave-like way and when each person is hit by that light, they attain some minor superhuman ability (and yes I know the superhuman stuff is getting a little old, but let me have this last one before I do something super-realistic), which they discover over time after the light fades away.
Much of the story has to do with the teens learning about their new abilities as well as running away from the "clean-up" members of the research team who want to kill and dissect them. Many times, usually during or after a moment of intensity, a sort of surge will occur between everyone and they will black out for a short time. Upon awaking, the players controlling them will have a choice (save for the first time, which I'll explain in a moment). You'll have 2 things to do. Strengthen an ability to it's next level or gain a new level 1 ability. You have 2 points you have to allot which can be used for leveling or gaining abilities as you see fit, but an ability can only be leveled once per event. A few brand new level 1 abilities will be available with each event.
I already have many level one abilities that have potential to level for a while (up to like... 7 levels), but I'm taking suggestions on more like that or for good abilities for the later events which could be like 3-4 levels in growth or maybe a little more. Hopefully nothing 7 levels or more long like the original ones, though.
I hope I've explained enough of this, and if not, I'll answer questions and work more on this OOC post when I return from work. Until then, toss in any suggestions you have for both abilities... and a possible title change. Cause I don't really like the title "Evolution" for this anymore.
