Aura lay on her back after the shock wave and laughed softly despite the ache that ran through her body. Her jaw and neck hurt most, the scars stinging like hot pokers had been pressed to the flesh. No doubt the holy seals were reacting to whatever remained of the vile attack the shadow had used when it struck her. “It was worth a try either way…” She sat up slowly and blinked until the stars in front of her eyes faded then smirked. The appearance of the strange man hadn’t shocked her as it might others. She lived a life that saw her facing creatures of mans deepest nightmares and cruelest nature. One more oddity made little difference. “Great the seals are indeed but I managed to crack three of the ten given time even they would have fallen… well with a hell lotta of luck… ok it probably would have killed me…” She stood up slowly and looked about for her staff spotting it imbedded in the ground several feet from where she had fallen. She wrenched the staff from the ground tossing it from hand to hand against the heat of the rod. “Hello Cardinal find day... or is it night? One really can lose track of time down here…” She greeted the man ignoring the others completely as she trailed off twirling the staff in her hands like a baton before slamming the end upon the ground. The silver core struck the stone and sent a small shower of sparks chasing each other across the dark ground.
She looked back o t the door and frowned flicking the braid and feather behind her left ear over her shoulder before finally turning to face the Cardinal. “How is the Master Khan not to near dead I hope?” she remarked almost casually, a cold sneer flickering across her face to fast it could have been a trick of the torch light. Aura rested her staff across the back of her shoulders and hooked her arms over the shaft once more tilting her head to the side as she noticed the others. “What’s this Cardinal, hounds for the hunt? Too bad you have the best of them locked up like some rabid beast…” Aura spat at his feet in a show of disgust. True she didn’t know the Dark Angel Exor well, but she knew the Priestess while that woman lived Aura felt they had nothing to truly fear of Exor.
The Cardinal frowned as he watched her and slowly slid his hands over the front of his robes. ”Perhaps it isn’t just the Dark Angel that needs sealing up for his own protection… You’re thinking irrationally child, that demon hit must have had more to it then claw.” “Going to command me now Cardinal? You dismissed me remember.” she hissed then closed her eyes and shook her head unhooking one hand and rubbed at her eyes. She wished to the high heavens her jaw and neck would stop aching but it seemed she’d just have to live with the pain. It wasn’t excruciating but enough to drive to distraction. “Don’t waste your breath… I’ll not listen to you, not until the Priestess is found. You could try and lock me up but I’ll break out and then so help me, I swear I’ll tear the world apart to find her. That is the promise I made upon learning what happened and the Promise I make again now, Be she in the deepest pits of Hell I’ll go there…”
Aura held the Cardinals gaze her violet eyes cold and determined. There would be no reasoning with her.
Xiang sighed and shook his head. Why the Priestess request such an impossible girl for her guard he would never understand. She wasn’t even what he’d call pure of heart. The girl had a tendency from what he’d heard to be violent on a turn when pushed too far and lost her temper on a regular basis. ”I had a feeling you’d say something like that, you might be…” he paused searching for the right word. “A complete bitch,” she supplied smirking at the Cardinals grimace and slow shake of head, he hated the use of foul language. All priests did and Aura found it amusing to drop the occasional curse for fun just to watch the priestess flush though often Aura would have to sit in silent meditation (an act she found boring and hard with her mind constantly on the move) for the slip of tongue. ”Ah no… I was thinking more insubordinate, but you’re passionate about your job…” “Duty...” she corrected him almost without thinking and then looked back to the door repressing a sigh. Then under her breath so soft it was barely heard, “One which I failed…” Finding and saving her might not make up for my failure… and nothing ever will but it’s a start… “So old man…” she muttered looking back to the Cardinal. “Going to be locking me up then like you mentioned or are we making hollow threats now?”

"Kids..." Lore began, blank stare at the group. "This idle banter is amusing, but don't we... you, have more pressing matters?" He shrugged. "But what do I know? I'm just the black clad menace. The preying shadow of Light. Banisher of Darkness... I like that."

A voice came form what seemed like everywhere, echoing with a strong tone that would make even thr bravest and most prepared shake in the knees, if only a bit, in Divine Fear. "You always did like that self-given title, Lore. Though I don't see why..." What looked to be an angel, clad in shining armor and complete with wings materialized behind Aura, and chuckled. "And for you, child, I have far superior prisons that would ever be required for your pathetic self. I must say, you... what was it... 'completel bitch,' you'd better watch your behavior from here on out. I don't think my master needs to be bothered with the mortal likes of you anyway." Before Aura could even make a kick in his direction, Alexander was already gone, now standing by the Cardinal. "I don't know how she ever made it in," Alexander continued, head bowed, standing behind the Cardinal. He was hardly paying attention to anyone in the room; they were all a joke to him. "She's always been this way, and always will be. If you discharged her, WHY was she still on this holy land?! I think you're the one to answer for this, Cardinal." The man looked embarresed when Alexander finnished, but the angel had already moved again, now standing in the center of the odd shape the rest of the group had formed. "If you want to get to that wretch Exor, you'll need my OK. And to get that, I need to come with you. You'll all need divine protection from that monster; Exor never deserved to come back in to the graces of even the mortals, let alone my superior."
Without waiting for an answer, Alexander approaced the sealed door, and it seemed to peel away under his presence. After it was finished unsealing, the Angel pushed it open with his first two fingers, and never even looked back. "You'll have to come... this way to get to that Demon, kiddies. Come along now." It seemed Alexander was a bit... sharper than the Holy Mortals of Earth; he didn't even worry enough about the backlash of God to insult a Cardinal. Respect, he thought, was earned through a little more than devotion.

Aimaina was completely and utterly shocked. An...an angel. It was too incredible. Completely without words, the Japanese man stood and stared at the figure with the glorious white wings, his mouth agape. It was amazing. He had always believed that angels were real. He had always thought that God would send something as beautiful and perfect and holy as an angel down to Earth to be His emissary, to be his Mouth and his Hand. But to actually see one, with his own mortal eyes, to be in the company of an angel...that was just too much. He didn't know how to react, what to say, what to do. It was like being in the presence of a celebrity, only infinitely more powerful than that, and infinitely greater. Almost as if he was in the presence of Jesus Himself.
But then, then...the angel spoke. And it hit Aimaina hard, very hard. This angel spoke with a superior air, with all the tact and charm of a jaguar stalking its prey, or a lion on the savanna. He spoke as if condescending to them all. And while, in effect, he COULD condescend to them all, because he was far older, wiser, and more powerful...that didn't mean he SHOULD. Weren't angels supposed to be pure creatures, unadorned with the trappings of human pride or vanity? Weren't they supposed to be humble, and mild when not angered, and overall...good? Because this angel...this angel spoke as the Dark Bladesman spoke, this Banisher of Darkness. He spoke with a tone that implied a certain superiority complex, and that...something was wrong with that.
But Aimaina quietly followed him into the vault. As he walked by her, the older gentleman stopped beside Aura, and held out his hand.
"I am Hikari Aimaina. You must be Aura. It seems you and I...will get to know each other a lot better in the days to come. Will you join me?" With that said, he also took Krystal's hand in his, being a little bold but deciding to throw caution to the wind, and stepped forward behind the Cardinal and the angel into the dark vault. What he found in there, he could barely see....
(OOC: I'm not sure what to do here, so I'm leaving it at that.)

The group entered the vault, spacious and dark. Cardinal Xiang's torch and the light emitting from Alexander soon illuminated a man in black clothes; cargo pants and a long sleeved black shirt. The tall man stood with his arms crossed and looked at them with cold hazel eyes. He looked... Well... Average. "Hm... Foolishness..." He shook his head, some spiked dark hair falling to his face. He pushed it back and stopped smirking, "Alexander, I would have thought you knew better. Now I suppose we know why you are bound here as well... I know why you have come, but it is foolishness. You'll simply have to reseal those gates to keep me in here. And what if I choose not to stay? And what if I choose to kill you all right now?" A hand went to his neck as he stretched it side to side. His arms then went back as he stretched fully, and the light caught something else - wings. The man had long, full wings with feathers black as the void and tinged with silver. He sighed and regarded them again, "This had better be important... Let's get this over with and then get the fuck out on the trail, will you?"

Aura had muttered several obscene curses before entering the vault and made no reply when Aimaina had greeted her. Standing now on the edge of the group Aura watched Exor listening as he spoke, she couldn’t help but smirk as he stretched. “We’re here Exor because you’re the only real hope we have getting her back, The Cardinal might not like to voice it but he knows this is truth.” She shook her head and traced the scars on her jaw with a finger without even thinking. The stopped herself and lowered her hand. If she didn’t stop it rubbing at her jaw might become a habit, one which could prove irritating. “You know more about the beasts of hell then any other in existence… well whom will willingly talk. We could spend the next thousand years trying to find her and would probably never even get close, you on the other hand…” she trailed off. “Look its your choice… You can help us search or wait here like a good little boy and twiddle your thumbs… Either way I think times been wasted enough and the longer we remain idel the harder it’s going to get.” She snorted and looked at her Staff examining the top of it for notches in its surface but as usual it remained perfectly unblemished. Looking to the Cardinal she frowned. “I’ll be collecting my tools before I leave. None of you take too long or I’ll leave without you…” The Cardinal visibly winced at the mention of her tools. Those who worked with aura knew she didn’t just wield her bladed staff but also an eight foot long chain where the first several links holding sharp blades. The end most links on each end having two eight inch blades with the third link holding six inch blade and the sixth links four inch blades. Aura loved the weapon because it suited her martial skills. She gave a mocking salute and then left to go hunt down her weapons, already Aura felt herself chafing at the delay.

Krystal took in the people surrounding her, took in the Angel before her, more humored than astonished by it all. She had believed the tale as farfetched as it had sounded. Anything was possible in the enigmatic world they lived in. The fact that otherworldly beings dwelled in their plain she'd taken in too, no complaints or rebuttals. It was the new information, the patronizing behavior of the first angel that struck her funny bone. Then the woman seemed loopy...what Krystal felt was a facade of a sort. But loopy or no (and Krystal sincerely knew it HAD to be no...) she was determined to find this unnaturally powerful woman of God and that was all that mattered. On the search for the priestess…
Feeling a hand gently catch hers, Krystal glanced to the holder, Aimana. She gave a small smile and strengthened her hold as they were led into the darkness, cerulean eyes far off, distant. The young woman couldn’t get over it, the situation too surreal. Then again… Her pupils dilated to abnormal proportions, Krystal putting little concentration into summoning her ki, feeling the divine power envelope her. It lasted less than a second, shorter than a blink, a brief barely there emission of energy. But it IS power…and not many normal human beings can do as such. What makes Angels and holy warriors so hard to comprehend? A chuckle almost left her.
The group reached the bleak black dungeon, the unnatural darkness making a shiver escape the optimistic woman. She gave a half smile, raising a neat brow as the torchlight revealed what appeared to be the average every day guy. Nothing seemed too out of the norm with him by appearance though one could feel something…off. Something hidden, near threatening despite his casual demeanor. Not malevolent by any means…just powerful…impossibly so. The instinct/idea left her as quickly as it came, both of Krystal’s brows rising once he began to talk. His close to last words nearly caught her off guard.
“…And what if I choose not to stay? And what if I choose to kill you all right now?”
Quick of wit, a comment on the edge of her tongue, Krystal’s common sense intervened before any damage could be done. As if a puppet under spell, her hand slid up to her lips, halting any speech from exiting. Her automatic thought lingered in her mind, though she tried dearly to push it away. I would like to see you try… It was a cocky thought, a bold one as well. She wasn’t all powerful, at least she didn’t think so, but if the Dark Angel, if this Exor fellow actually did attempt a slaughter beneath Vatican City, she would go down fighting with the best of them. She glanced aside with a devious glint in grayish blue eyes. Because really…being killed in a holy city…body not found for days…left to rot without a Caramel Macchiato…that would blow. Fiercely.
The end of his words caused a snort to leave Krystal, she quickly blushing and converting it into a cough. She rolled her gaze to the ceiling, keeping her amusement hidden and thankful for the dim lighting of the room. It was then, returning her gaze back to the man, she noticed…feathers? For a moment, the woman stopped thinking, stopped wondering, could think of no words of sarcasm when the angel put his wings on display, a raven black akin to the darkness of the abyss. Silver feathers tinged the edge, Krystal temporarily forgetting she’d be pissed if St. Peter or some random angel told her to ‘hurry the fuck up’ if she ever reached heaven. Such mouths...but the wings on them make up for the less appealing features.
The strange woman, Aura, stepped forward, pointing out to Exor what Krystal didn’t understand. Krystal stroked her chin, finally enlightened onto what the Dark Angel’s role would be. She watched Aura briskly head off, keen to get started on the search. Krystal shifted in step, more excited than anything else. The whole thing was insane but the cause seemed well enough. We'd be the unknown heroes...the helpers to the knight. So it's either we save the priestess... She turned an eye onto the brooding Exor, a smirk gracing her features. ...or risk this one going apeshit and destroying the world. Fun. Krystal closed her eyes, forming the sign of the cross at the spontaneous curse but the only word that sounded appropriate. A little shy, she risked voicing her opinion. “…she does make a sound point. Your expertise would be more than welcome…besides,” She shrugged, turning her eyes to the light at the end of the tunnel. Krystal spoke in her trademark warm voice, a hint of sarcasm visible. “Who wants to sit all alone in the dark?”

Alexander blinked in shock at Aura, "Is she... kidding? She doesn't even have any idea where to begin looking, and she just hauls off to get some chian?! Is she that foolish?!" Alexander's helm took the shape of a dragoon's, pointing in the front, as he once again dropped his head. The change was mostly because he thought he looked cooler like that. "This is going on her record as one of the stupidest things she's ever done."
Once again he turned to Exor. "Well now, look what you went and did! Scared her off, stupid!" It was amasing. Alexander seemed to have no fear for the most powerful being in exsistance, and even went so far as to insult him.His tone was even... joking. Could he really take Exor with such little recognition that he'd talk to him like... a friend? "Well, there's no WAY I'm going to tell her anything! She thinks a chain is more important than our... briefing, fine." Then Wolfe muttered something more, "I'd destroy that girl myself if I could..."
"Exor! You don't seem to like company. So just... tell us what you're to tell us, and we'll get on our way finiding that fool girl who took you in when noone should have. Then we'll leave you to rot here like you deserve, get me?!" Alexander had a cold look. A look of anger when he spoke to Exor, it showed on his face, and for just a second, on his person. It had seemed, at least, that Alexander's wings had tinted red for a second, and his most holy armor shaded a sickly green, marks of death comming upon them. But as soon as it happened, it was reverted to normal, and all signs of emotion left Alexander Wolfe's face, and he stared, placidly, waiting for the information.

Exor released a half-growl as he went limp on his feet. "Alexander, you impudent wastrel. Have you dragged everyone down here just so that they may see me slay you? I do not need Nightmare or my full strength to do so, O powerless one." While his tone spoke of jest, it also hinted at animosity. Exor tolerated Alexander Wolfe, as he was one of the only others that would live as he did. He tolerated him, but did not respect him. Or like him. "Mighty Wolfe, wouldn't you already know of the whereabouts of the sects that follow the darkness? I'm appalled that you're even here? Honestly, Cardinal, what is the meaning of this? You both know that the Council had me sealed up down here 'for my own protection.' And you both know it's because they're scared to death of me - as they should well be," he motioned to the group, "as you all should be. For if I do go back to what I was... Well, as you say, God help you all. Because, you see," with a smirk upon his face that turned for a moment into something akin to pain, the Dark Angel's right arm transformed into a large claw; three immense digits and horns and spikes adorning the back of the forearm like a shield and plating the upper arm in obsidian, "I am the stuff nightmares are made of." He brought his arm up and with visible effort and a flash of black flame, it returned to human form. "Well, I suppose those fools in the room on high know something after all. It is becoming harder to remain in this form, and my thoughts are beginning to change..." His voice took on an introspective tone as he finished. He again crossed his arms and put a hand to his chin, beginning to pace when Krystal spoke. Xiang winced at her remarks and Exor stopped moving. His attention went to her; his body quickly followed suit. With unnatural speed he was before her; the others backed away quickly in response, but Krystal was frozen. She felt her momentary surge of power leave her, replaced by the cold of the deepest void being kept just beyond reach. Exor cocked his head slightly and put his hand on her shoulder, unknowingly sending a flash of heat through her - sheer power. Much of it was foreign to her, born from pain, anguish, despair, malice, and hatred, yet some was constituent of the power she took solace in feeling, from grace, hope, benevolence and love. It shook her soul like a train hitting a car, and she missed his words. "Now, you see? I like the way this one thinks," he looked to the others with a wicked smile, "Why don't we just give me Nightmare and set me loose on them? Let me destroy each and every one of them in the -" Alexander Wolfe interrupted, "Because that may be exactly what they desire, moron." Exor was incensed, "What!? You're calling me a moron, fallen one? You're supposed to be the 'main link to the Man', so why don't you know, Mr. I Know Everything?" He sighed and took his hand off of Krystal, not noticing her current state. "Unless you can change the minds of those corpses up there, or go and piss me off - and you're gettin real close with that, Wolfe, and the first one I kill then will be you, doubt it not -it looks like I'm stayin' here. Christ! Go on already! If you so desperately value my input, go check out LA or that place in Australia with the old cult uprising in... What, about a century ago? Two? Hell, I dunno. Figure it out already, you have Mr. Know It All!" Exor was beginning to lose patience with this group and with the Church's inadequacy in finding his priestess.

"Ha ha ha ha... HA HA HA HA!" All eyes were drawn to the black clad man walking past the group, Nodachi in hand. His slow, deliberate steps stopped as he stood in the center of the vault. "I can see now, we have nothing to fear from the Vatican, or that of God," He mocked Alexander Wolfe, blade heaved on his shoulder, tapping against his other. "I am with the Dark Angel in, that you are all fucking foolish. Knowing I've cut your agents down time and time again... yet somehow, I've entered your holy city, trespassing amongst the very vaults used to seal evil; to safeguard the most prestige of treasure." He shook his head, tsk'ing, raw power emitting from his form in an aura that would sicken the mightiest of warriors. "And now that I have shown you, I am no friend, I am a threat, let me tell you this, BEFORE I SEND YOU ON A ONE WAY TICKET TO OBLIVION!" Lore raised a gloved hand, material shredding at a surge of Power. "I know where your precious priestess is... where, by now, the men must be lonely..." He licked his lips, darkness being absorbed from the spacious vault. "...What is it like to feel you can not do a thing; to feel her screams, as her very being is ripped apart ever so deliciously... I wonder what a woman such as her would taste like? I'll just have to wait and see..." Laughter boomed, just before a supernova of Power was released from Lore. ~ The catacombs shook at the hands of the soundless explosion, Exor's vault... gone. The group was blown off their feet, all but Alexander Wolfe, and the Dark Angel... and Lore? But his victory of sorts was short-lived, Exor flying him into, and embedding him into a wall by the throat, black fire pouring from his body. The Dark Angel glared, with a roar, "WHERE IS SHE!?!? TAKE ME TO HER AT ONCE, OR SO HELP ME, NO HELL WILL BE AS COMFORTABLE AS WHAT I'LL DO TO YOU!!!"Lore sneered, "Oh my, it looks like I've struck a nerve? What's wrong, Dark Angel? Haven't you've ever fucked her? No?" He pouted mockingly, "That's okay - sorry you were inadequate. I'll have enough fun for the both of us. And hey, I'll say hi to her for you if you want? Right after I throw my men off her, pushing her against a cage like the dog she..." Lore vanished, as Exor's fist catapulted through where his head was.

Aimaina lay stunned in a pile of rubble by the edge of the blast, almost unconscious but still mildly alert. He had been hit once on the top of the head with a piece of the wall, but basically had sustained no injuries, and was just a little dizzy. He watched the interaction between this black-cloaked man and the Dark Angel, watched the black man disappear as if nothing had happened, and managed to collect his wits enough to look around him. There was a crater where the vault of the Dark Angel had been, a crater and the walls of the adjoining rooms and the hallway blown out in the chaos. The Japanese man was surprised that the structural integrity of the ceiling was holding, considering how many tons of rock and building must be poised above them. But he wasn't that surprised to hear a low groan coming from the ceiling, as those tons of rock were poised to fall down upon them.
"Ummm...I believe we should be going..." He managed to stutter, struggling up out of the rocks around him. He pushed aside the debris, and quickly ran over to Cardinal Xiang. The Cardinal was buried under a pile of debris, and completely unconscious. The distinguished dan reached down, pushing aside the rocks, and sifted through until he could pull the Cardinal upright. Not even sparing a look towards Exor or Wolfe, both of whom seemed fine, he struggled his way over to where the girl Krystal lay.
"Quickly, quickly! You must get up! The roof is about to collapse!" He managed to murmur, before pushing aside some of the rubble around her head and then prodding her with a foot. Not waiting to see if she was awake yet, but fearful of the imminent collapse of the entire ceiling onto their heads, he quickly pulled Cardinal Xiang out towards the blasted hallway, heading for the stairs. He moved swiftly, although his black priestly robe certainly didn't help any, and began stagger up the stairs, still supporting the unconscious Xiang.
"Come on all of you! The place is about to collapse!" He shouted to all those behind him, and then began to ascend the stairs....
(OOC: I know, kind of a cop out, sorry Veddy. But I just thought that would be the most logical thing for Aimaina to do. And I also wanted to remind you guys that I'm still here. LOL)

(ooc: tis okay Mikey, all hell already broke loose so that's no biggie lol..)
Krystal lost her hold on reality, on her sensations, on the world, a blazing heat coursing through her veins. Her pupils contracted as if staring into an intense light, they miniscule dots in a sea of glossy grey. Body an inferno as the endless wave of power and emotions channeled through her, she felt her vision begin to darken. She could form no thoughts under the wave of energy, growing dizzy with each waking moment. Krystal’s only comfort was she’d collapse or he’d let her go, anything to escape those feelings, the force running through her.
Miraculously enough, the latter occurred. The shadowy dungeon slowly grew into focus, the obsidian fire and brimstone that had been her reality fading away. Krystal gasped, the enchanted place far colder than she’d remembered; each face around her fuzzier than they should be. She lowered her gaze, counting to herself, fighting for control over her power. Whoa… The young woman clenched her fist, widening her eyes, vision flooded with light despite the dark condition of the area. It had been the equivalent of forcing her to overdose, though she doubted the Dark Angel would intentionally do such a thing. Then again…what the heck do I know? Finding a semblance of control, Krystal turned her gaze onto the casually dressed man, his last words registering.
“…Figure it out already, you have Mr. Know It All!”
But we don’t have you… Krystal toyed with her rosary, a nervous habit when she could no longer smile. And though she had been trying, her grin wasn’t ready to show itself yet. She glanced aside at her thought, narrowing her eyes. Its now obvious why he’s down here…think I may have underestimated him some.. A little smirk showed itself, the woman strengthening her hold over her little pink cross. It’s understandable though…he’s too much to unleash onto the world. Not yet…hopefully it won’t come down to it. Then again, it’s doubtful it can get any more severe than this. As if on cue, laughter came from the far corner of the room.
Krystal cringed, slapping her hand over her forehead at her idiotic though. Ostensibly…it will. She turned her attention onto the darkly dressed man cutting through the group on his course to the Angel. Subconsciously, Krystal winced at each harsh word that left his mouth, she reluctantly admitting to herself he DID have a point. Vatican security does have room for improvement. A hand pointed to his back, Krystal mouthing in incredulity. “How did he get in here again?!” She struggled with holding back a skeptical laugh, his last words causing all humor to escape. Looking back and forth between Lore and Exor, she paled. There’s gonna be trouble...!
Corresponding with Krystal’s thoughts, an explosion of chaotic levels ravaged the room. She braced herself, frowning at her inability to maintain a proper hold over her abilities. Depending on her own vigor, the shockwave easily lifted her off her feet, smacking her back into the wall. She slid to the floor, addled and swiftly losing consciousness. Inevitably, she blacked out, coming to long enough to overhear bits of conversation. The speakers were unidentifiable, few words making sense, something crashing into the wall stirring her from the very brief slumber. For a fleeting second, a glow undertook her eyes, her body’s failsafe against harm. She shook it off, the face of the Japanese dan coming into view.
Aimaina spoke down to her, Krystal able to detect the urgency of his tone. She didn’t catch his words too well, the woman in recovery mode. Falling in and out of consciousness, she eventually found her grip, spotting the Japanese man hurry off with the Cardinal. With the support of what was left of the wall, Krystal got to her feet. Checking her status, she made a wry face, scarlet pouring from a gash in her cheek. She groaned at the onset of a migraine, a blitz of Italian leaving her lips at the weakening ceiling. Stone fell around her being, never on her, Krystal managing to stop the occasional piece with a flash of white light…her invisible shield. Where being the white mage pays… She flinched at crumbling rock, scrutinizing eyes managing to land on Exor. …bad feeling, yesh…
Krystal suspected he’d grow erratic any second now, feeling that she would be speaking more to herself than anything. It never did hurt to try though. “…we’ll get her back…before any of his plans come to fruition. It’s either that or die trying,” She snapped her fingers, abnormally serious. Her thumb sparked, Krystal gliding it over the slash in her cheek. It sealed up automatically, she figuring she’d wash away the blood later. “…so God help me.” She grinned, the operation now more than just a rescue mission. It had turned into a minor vendetta and though she’d never admit it, she hated getting screwed. And damn it all…do I feel screwed.
Knowing it probably wasn’t necessary, Krystal let a burst of energy go, averting a tumbling bit of rock heading the Dark Angel’s way. She arched her brow. “…don’t think the Vatican has another place as secure as this. Will you be joining us or find another safe haven…?” Krystal exhaled with a half smile. She briskly turned, shield dissipating. Your move, Dark one.
The woman scrambled out of the falling dungeon, working her way up to the upper levels of the Vatican. Catching her breath on what she assumed to be the ground floor, she muttered to herself, shaking her head. Anybody who saw that coming deserves a cookie…or a smack to the head for no forewarning. She snorted, wondering what their next move would be from there.

Aura had felt the ground beneath her lurch and then shake as something shifted deep in the vaults beneath the stone floor of the ground level. She stood waiting in the armory glad that the weapons were kept secured in case of earthquakes and collected the blades that would have to be reattached to her staff and the eight foot chain which she wrapped about her waist like a belt leaving the blades to hang harmlessly at her side. She turned and left pausing for a moment to collect a belt of throwing daggers on impulse and hung them over her shoulder, stepping over the incapacitated guards who had stood watch by the weapons. She headed outside the building to wait for the rest if they were still alive. The ground still continued to quiver underfoot making her wonder if the building wasn’t going to start sinking into the underground. at least I was smart enough to leave after giving my piece. There’s no point in arguing with beings like that Dark Angel… She frowned and began fixing the blades to her staff while she waited for those who had survived. If none came within an hour she was gone and would start searching where she knew demons liked to dwell.

The roof continued to crumble while the two angels remained below. Alexander Wolfe was erecting pillars of light to hold the immense weight above while the intensified black aura around Exor destroyed any debris that happened his way. He fell to his knees, his wings spreading across the floor. Wolfe spared a look his way as a teardrop reached the floor. With the barely noticable splash, a well of energy erupted, the black fire blasting the others up the stairwell and onto the floor above. The roar of the unholy flame was soon outdone by the cry of the demon Exor was threatening to become. His eyes were crimson, his hair standing on end, crackling with the power flowing through him; his wings aglow with a wicked light. He stood at his full height and growled one word: Nightmare... With a cry and another blast of black fire, he sailed over the others en route to the Chamber of the Council. The only thought on his mind was retrieving his weapon and anihilating his enemies.

The last one in the catacombs, Alexander was not worried about being crushed. What he was worried about was the whole holy land falling. So he quickly erected pillars of Holy Light to support the structure, constantly comming back to strengthen them after the whole of the grounds above him was supported. It would have taken hours if his adrenaline were not pumping as fast as it was, which can be a bad thing for an angel. Pillar by pillar Wolfe constructed a new foundation for the Vatican, and minutes after Exor left the room he was finished, ten brilliantly blinding pillars supporting the holy land above him. Wanting for these pillars to stand forever, Alexander Wolfe created a gate of holy energy at the entrance of the room that Exor had been kept. This one, a fast job more than a strong one, was a golden/silver gate, transparent but not surpassable. It was time for Alexander to leave this city for a while.
He would meet the others later on their adventure, later that is, after finding the Dark Angel and having a... talk with him. The first step being to locate Exor. From hearing mention of the weapon Nightmare, Alexander took flight to the location he knew the weapon was kept: Cloud Nine. It was sort of a midway point from Heaven and Earth; the weapon nightmare was too unholy to be kept anywhere in Heaven without causing serious problems, and keeping it on Earth would be folly. So the deciders of Exor's fate chose to put it on Cloud Nine.
The others would have to be without Divine assistance for a while as they continued to hunt for the Priestess.
