Kiera turned and walked over to Alex turnnig and Knelt on the ground again with her back to him and folded her arms behind her back to form a saddel. when Alex climbed up and wasseated as comfortably as could be his arms around her neck. Kiera set off at a fast paced trot, Alex bouncing behind her with each step until Kiera ajusted her hold on him enough that he didn't bounce much at all. Then she increased her pace util the trees were flying past them, Kiera's breathing remained at a steady rythem. "Kirea is Kiera, dragon kind of the Lizargians to the south." she replied ot his question now that they were moving. It would take a few days to reach these Ebony woods by her reakoning and even wolf-men had to rest some time. So long as they kept moving and restedonly when Kiera absolutely had to they would keep ahead of them. Flying would have been faster but the boy Alex seemed afraid of flying. She would only resort to it unless there were no other options. Then she would have ot knock him out and carry him to safety. Kiera knew she was responsable for Alex now. She'd saved his life andone of the many laws of Lizargia was you were responsable forthe lives you saved. Until such time as Alex was safe she would stick with him and keep him out of as much danger as she could.
Kiera kept up the pace until the dawn came, the gradualy slowed to a walk before stopping completely. She didn't like Alex down but instead sniffed the air until she caught scent of the metalic tang of water. Moving towards it she found what could only be another section of the rocky stream she'd rested at last time and let Alex down. Raisingher arms above her head Kiera streached her large black wings out to releave the cramps that had formed while carrying the boy. Her breathing was faster then it had been when it started but she didn't look too fatigued, not on the outside. Looking behind her at Alex she smiled and gave him a sly wink before wading into the stream and dissapearing beneath the surface. when she resurfaced soem minutes later Kiera had several fish in her hands. Tossing them on shore she wadded out and shoock herself down muck like a dog would. Her waist length black hair clinging to her skin and face. Brushing it out of the way she smiled at Alex. "Kiera catch fish for eating... better then going hungery but.... not safe to start fire and cook it. Raw fish alright to eat even for humans." she knelt on the ground where the fish lay and used hte claw on her index finger to slit the fish along its abdomonen and scoop out the innards . She repeared it with the other fish and then washed them in the stream before deftly remofing the skin and scaled with amazing dexderity with her claws removing the head and handing two to Alex. Kiera ate the six others she'd caught bones and all without a second thought. Raw meat never bothered her.

Name: Maelstrom Sanguisént
Age: looks to be 23
Race: Neko-jin/Torajin
Home: (none)
Appearance: Around six feet in height, Mael holds a slender physique and is unnaturally flexible. Traveling from place to place has made her extremely tanned, her complexion an almost glowing honey. Her hair is silky yet thick, lustrous and abnormally dark raven hanging far past her back. Parted down the middle, it only manages to be kept in check by the thin gold binding spiraling down the end. Eyes an ethereal emerald, when tired, acrimonious, or paranoid the pupils tend to contract into slits. On each cheek are three slashes which are merely tribal tattoos, a reminder of where’s she come from. Her tail, neatly trimmed black fur, can wrap around her waist three times, often hidden under her one shoulder brown leather blouse. Complimenting her upper attire is a pair of short brown shorts, her outfit often cloaked under a midnight black robe. She rarely, if ever, wears shoes. Her ears are pointed and one of the most sensitive parts of her body. Mael’s fangs and claws can elongate by will, but other than that, she’s relatively normal.
Weapons: Hunting Spear: While Mael doesn’t need it, she totes the seven foot steel spear as a fail safe. At times, it’s better to be thought human than a being that can rip out your throat…
Preferred Fighting Style: Melee
History: Born and raised in the untamed wastelands surrounding Lizargia, her childhood was less than glamorous, her peaceful life shattered in her adolescence stage. Barely recovering from the ‘incident’, with the little will and sanity the poor child had left she began her venture. After aimless wandering through brook and forest, she eventually stumbled upon a temporary place to settle. The inhabitants of the mystic village restored the little faith she had in what was called ‘humanity’. While she fell in love with the place, she couldn’t stay long, the wildlife constantly calling out to her. Mael finds herself frequently on the run with neither family nor a proper home to return to. Her race is bordering on the edge of extinction, countless hunted down for their exotically gorgeous manes. It is because of this Mael holds a guarded nature towards humans, changing only when need be.
Other: In her normal form, Mael is unsettlingly fast and agile. Her ears are sensitive and when in danger a hiss automatically escapes her, something she absolutely hates. She can’t withstand much damage and can’t rely on brute strength considering she lacks in that department. Her nails, however, make for a sufficient compensation. Not the best, but it has to do. Mentionable note: Mael has the ability to transform into something reminiscent to a black jaguar, but not quite. Her eyes stay the same surreal green and she is still able to think for herself. Only rarely does she lose control over all thoughts. In her true form, she tends to perform better in a nocturnal setting.
(ooc: short entry for the night…)
Crouching down, toes buried in the mist covered grass; Mael gazed at her reflection in the surface of the brook. A smile curled her lips at her diamond in the rough appearance. She quickly hid the grin, criticizing herself for the hints of vanity she sometimes held. Furrowing her brows, she concentrated, emerald eyes searching the water carefully. Mael resisted the temptation to wiggle her fingers over the shallow stream, keeping them poised and ready over the liquids surface. Her eyes began to light up, a fish swimming into her view. Automatically, her fangs hovered over the stream, stomach rumbling to remind her of her hunger. Number twelve! Her hands dove into the water, nimbly catching the slippery aquatic creature. It squirmed rebelliously in her hold, Mael glancing away. With little thought, she lengthened her nails, ending the little being’s life.
The woman hopped to her feet, done with the minor hunt for her breakfast. She wiped her hands off into her shorts, soon moving her hands to her hair. Mael closed her eyes, letting a tired yawn escape her. A faint meow followed after, a wave of drowsiness striking her. Should have stayed asleep…sunrise is far too early to wake. Grumbling, she dragged her dozen fish to her camp site of sorts. Freeing her spear from the bark of a tree, she shoved the long metal through her breakfast, letting the fish smoke over a fire built the evening before.
In better spirits with the aroma of her meal caressing her senses, she crawled over to her robe. She dug into the pockets scattered randomly inside the hooded cloak, taking out a few herbs. Jovial despite the times, Mael hummed happily to herself, sprinkling her meal with the miscellaneous seasonings. Upon her finishing, she watched the fish roast, reaching out when she could no longer take it.
Mael halted in her hungry action, temporarily forgetting what she thought a lavish breakfast. Her ears twitched beneath her ebony hair, they picking up a barely audible sound. Footsteps…weighted footsteps approaching her position. Not many, just one, most likely a man judging by the resonance felt through the ground. At the moment, he was actually quite far, but any human was too close for comfort. Odd… She finally took the fish from the fire, clutching the hot spear in her hand. Ignoring the burning sensation, she crossed her legs, contemplating as she ate. Not many wander these parts, makes little sense, makes no sense, amusing and curious and strange all at once!
Quickly finishing the meal, Mael frowned, her ravenous hunger having yet to leave her. She wiped her spear clean, swinging the weapon over her shoulder. Curiosity had seized hold over her, the woman pondering whether to seek out the nearing footsteps. She glided her spear behind her neck, hooking her elbows over the warm metal. Anxious, she danced in step. Should I, could I, would I, should I, could I…I will. Shrugging and unable to find harm in what she assumed to be a lost human, she began to traverse the forest, coming to a stop behind a tree.
Spear in hand, Mael hid patiently, arching her brow once the stranger came into view. Ahhhh…! She brushed her lips with the tip of her spear, seeing he had a young child in hand. Not weighted, more than one. Normally, such fun… Fingers brushing over the wood of the tree, she stood stock still, waiting until he walked beneath the tree. As if on cue, she scrambled up the bark, stealthily climbing on a branch, almost touching the green canopy over the forest. Her emerald eyes watched cautiously from above, head cocked to the side in her curiosity.
A shudder subconsciously left Mael. Even from here… From the man wafted the coppery scent of blood, of flesh, of death, of tears. It was overpowering, Mael holding back a gag from the smell. The little girl didn’t reek so strongly as the man, she only carrying the smell of death. Very obvious she’s not dead; scents are messing with my head. Mael would have continued to quietly observe, to creep after the strange pair from the shadows, had she not noticed the girl pointed a finger upwards. The two strangers spotted her, eyeing her strangely. Hmm… She scowled then sighed in defeat. Oh hell, oh well. Mael summoned a polite tone.
“Hi…” She let herself slip from the branch, mechanically landing on her fours. She stayed in a crouch in front of the two, making sure her hair hid her ears. Tail uncomfortably veiled beneath her robe, she sprung upwards, close to meeting the stranger’s eyes. Her nose twitched, she leaning in to his neck, devouring his scent. Blood, death, flesh, how very odd. These two are like peas in a pod. She stroked her chin, backing away from the man. Again, Mael tilted her head, murmuring to herself. “Such strange smells surround you both…” She spoke up, this time addressing the man. “Where have you both come from? I can not help but ask.”
Mael intended on making a mental note to avoid wherever they’d arrived from. Obviously it would not be a safe place and she held no intentions of meeting whatever had caused the bloodbath that had ensued. At least someone…though peculiar smelling made it. She swung her spear into standby mode to show she meant no harm. Her eyes gave off a warm enough emerald glow, the cordial hue faltering the brief second she peered into the man’s eyes. Hairs rising on end, her instinct screamed in the back of her mind, a shrill piercing warning. Exhaling to calm her nerves, she gave the two the benefit of the doubt as she waited for a response…

Miran, still holding the little child, ran through the woods as fast as his legs could take him, until he could run no further. Then he walked, walking for a long long distance, panting, his tongue lolling out of his mouth, exhausted now. He was strong, but it had been hours, and he was carrying a little girl, and he had been running. Not too much beyond superhuman endurance could make up for that. He was tired now, exhausted really, and it hurt to make another step. But the little girl looked at him with those baleful, beautiful eyes, and he couldn't stop. He had to get her out of harm's way. He...he owed it to her. He didn't know why, or how...but he owed this little girl something so great, he could never repay it. He owed her life.
He felt himself reaching the edge of tolerance. He simply could not move any faster. He looked up through the trees at the sun overhead, and saw that he had been carrying the girl for well over 3 hours since the sun had risen. Suddenly, her tiny arm went up into the air, pointing above him. His senses had been dulled by fatigue and the stink of sweat and blood surrounding his body. Even his much more sensitive Lycan olfactory glands had failed to pick up the Torajin up in the tree. He cursed himself silently, and stopped. The cat-creature came down, looking like a particularly agile human and not like its own kind at all, and spoke.
"Hi...Such strange smells surround you both…Where have you both come from? I can not help but ask.”
Slowly, Miran responded to the creature in front of him. He could smell her now, could smell her through the haze which surrounded himself and the girl, and could smell her confusion and apprehension. Slowly, cautiously, Miran put the little girl on the ground. Her little feet touched the soft mossy undergrowth, and quickly she ran back behind a tree, not hiding herself but merely protecting herself. She ducked behind the tree and stood, her eyes wide with anticipation, peeking around the side of the trunk.
Miran then, very carefully and methodically, removed his push dagger from the arm band. Putting it in the hand with the band around it, he also reached up and removed the throwing star from the band. He did it very carefully, almost as if showing her exactly what he was doing and why. He wasn't threatening her, exactly. He was simply telling her something very important. He was armed, and he knew how to use his weapons. He assumed a defensive stance, his legs spread apart in a triangle and his body relaxed and yet tense at the same time. He drew back the hand containing the star, as if to throw, and readied the push dagger.
Suddenly, simply because he had taken her somewhat by surprise, and because she had not expected him to become so defensive, she twitched forward, reaching out her hand in a calming gesture. But that was as far as the cat-creature got. With a sharp flick of his wrist, the throwing star went sailing right past her hand, almost nicking the back of the hand as it went, and imbedded itself into the tree behind her. The amazing accuracy required, and the strength, to launch the star that quickly and that precisely without hurting her and imbedding it in a tree was NOT the amazing part, however. The amazing part was the fact that the throwing star was still in Miran's hand.
Mael looked backwards and down, hazarding a glimpse at where the throwing star had struck the tree. It was there, one point out of five deeply wedged into the wood of the tree, standing straight and erect. And as she looked back at Miran, there was the same exact throwing star, back in his hand. What had started as one, was now two. Magic! She hissed automatically, and her hiss brought a strange look to Miran's face. As she hissed, so feline in her agitation, Miran's face curled up in a vicious sneer. His teeth exposed, eye teeth and canine teeth too long for a human and yet still almost human-seeming, he began to growl low low in his throat. It was almost a subsonic growl, it rumbled so deeply in his throat, and he stood there, growling, baring his teeth, ready for a fight. He glanced towards the little girl once or twice, flicking his eyes in her direction to determine if she was ok, and his nose was constantly searching for other foreign, dangerous odors. And he waited to see how the woman would react.
(OOC: Just a note, Veddy...he doesn't want to fight you, but he feels he must to protect the girl. Just letting you know)

(ooc: okays Mikey…still fighting grounds on my block though, lol. Late night fight [so of course it’ll be meh...]…)
Mael eyed the man wearily, cursing herself silently for just realizing what he was. Her fangs automatically revealed themselves, the woman in a defensive stance from what she considering his first strike; the throwing star embedded in the bark of the tree. Though in a grim situation, a grin came in the less than favorable circumstances, pointed teeth glistening in anticipation. She originally held no intentions whatsoever of fighting the man before her. However, her culture had a rule, that being, if the opponent made the first strike, a fight was inevitable. Oh well…
An exaggerated sigh left the excited Torajin. Slow but gracefully, Mael moved her weapon out of standby mode, swinging it deftly to her side, then twirling it in front of her. Creating a wind from the rapid spinning of the silver spear, she stopped it horizontally, exhaling to calm her nerves. She hefted the weapon in her right hand, pitching it hard into a tree, sending chips of bark to the forest floor. The woman eased her robe from her shoulders, unfurling her tail as she revealed her attire to the patient Lycan before her. All humor left Mael’s expression, emerald eyes emitting a near ominous glow. Her nails extended, sharp and lethal claws leaving her fingertips.
With one final hiss, more from anger than instinct, she pivoted fancifully in step, lunging at the man. The woman brought down her nails near his face, Miran catching the offending wrist. His face twisted in spite, he sending his fist into her stomach. The blow landed, the woman’s pupils contracting in response. She pulled her hand from his taut hold, delivering a backhanded slap to the lycan. Her foot immediately snapped up to meet his jaw, Miran grabbing her ankle before it could touch his face.
Mael’s eyes narrowed, the woman off for balance. She twisted her foot frantically in his grip, green eyes tearing up as wolf nails dug into her flesh, blood spilling tepidly from her skin to the grass. Practically irate in the position, she turned herself unorthodoxly, bending her knee to bring herself closer to the Lycan. Eyes large and catlike, she sent each hand on a crash course to Miran’s face, claws zooming insanely fast to his face, having yet to break through his skull. She switched up her pattern, darting her left hand forward twice, three nails skimming along side his cheek. A growl left the Lycan’s throat, he expressing both surprise and incense at the Torajin making a successful attack. Avoiding her last swipe, he used her weight against her, tossing her roughly to the ground.
The woman, close to meeting the dirt, held out her hands, landing on her palms. She walked ahead shakily on her hands, struggling to find a semblance of balance in the awkward stance. Getting use to it, Mael purred, elegantly bending a toe back to the ground, arching her back to stand upright once more. The pain in her ankle was felt instantly, an unavoidable consequence from his move. She ignored the throbbing in her leg, moving into a coiled crouch.
Mael sprung, barreling her fists into the side of his face, brow twitching from the power infused jab felt seconds after her move. Miran shouldered her back, slamming the woman into a tree. The playful excitement she’d started the round with disappearing, she turned on her heel, sending her elbow into the center of his chest. A minor push followed after her attack, it holding little strength, but enough.
Rounding back, Mael jumped towards the thick willowy tree, kicking off from the trunk and performing an aerial kick. She flew towards his chest, sending Miran tumbling to the ground. Pouncing on top of him, her right hand raised back. Her claws danced under the sunlight, marvelous purr leaving her lips. “Mine…” Voice lower than a whisper, she sent razor sharp nails towards his head, hand being caught inches from Miran’s face.
Miran’s grip threatened to break her wrist, hand vice around the opposing hand. He arched himself to throw Mael off of him, slamming her down to his side. Wincing, Mael hissed, the werewolf pinning her to the moist earthen floor. She slashed the lycan away, her focus not on piercing through skin but instead, escaping the vulnerable position. His scent too close, too intense for her liking, Mael let him catch a hand again, her other hand aimed to the left of his chest, she desperate to end the battle. Knifelike nails prepping to end his life, the only pause to the devastating blow was her misfortune, the Lycan sensing her move.
A smile had spread over Mael’s lips, it fading away as briefly as it arrived. Her nails were close enough to brush over Miran’s chest, close enough to kill, close, but not quite there. The woman lay stock still, her fangs biting into her lip to stifle a pained scream, emerald eyes tearing up in agony. Miran’s hands pressed against the side of her face, clenching onto her ears, they sensitive to sound and touch in her somewhat human form. A light touch was bliss but any sign of pressure applied could bring involuntary submission to the most stubborn of Torajin. Mael gasped aside, hands trembling. She cursed violently in every tongue she knew, the woman unable to rid herself from the horrible feeling in her chest. Her heart beat maniacally, close to exploding from the intense amount of pain, she breaking into a cold sweat. She turned a weakened furious gaze back to the werewolf, the Lycan sending sharp canines to her throat.
Fighting the pain away to the best of her abilities, Mael turned her focus onto Miran. One hand wrapped around his throat, another digging into his cheek to keep the man at bay. The heat of his breath falling on her neck, Mael snapped, a guttural roar starting from the back of her throat. Her full set of teeth on display, it turned into a jaguar’s cry, eerie noise echoing out in the clearing. She heaved Miran off of her in a fit, wasting no time as she assumed the position back on top of his chest.
Not bothering with words, Mael’s hand rocketed to his face, a twitch to her senses alerting her to the little girl’s presence behind one of several trees. She didn’t halt her attack, a blitz of thoughts hitting her in the mere seconds until her blow reached. Persuaded by her bits of pondering, the questions streaming through her mind, Mael altered the trajectory of her claw, burying her nails into the ground beside the Lycan’s head.
Miran kicked her backwards from him, Mael jumping up onto her bare feet. She bounced in step, letting a large breath leave her. In the utmost reluctance, she reduced her nails to their normal length, returning her fangs to a state of normalcy. Mael rested her hands by her side, speaking clearly to Miran. “I do not wish to fight you under these…” Her glance fell to the green eyed little girl, she seeming too stunned to move. Mael searched for the right word, an excuse that wouldn’t bring her emotions or morals into light. “…terms.” She tentatively backed away from Miran, emerald eyes watching his every move carefully.
Retrieving her robe from the floor, Mael slid into the article of clothing. She pulled her spear from its tree, swinging it behind her neck. Looping her arms over the lukewarm metal, Mael danced in step. She spoke in a completely somber tone, a rarity for the woman. “I know what you are and I can tell what she is as well. The last town I have seen is a two days journey from this location…you would have to fly to complete the journey before nightfall. Part of me is curious on just what you will do…how the two of you will fare…” Mael angled her face, emerald eyes contemplative, a tiny smirk across her lips. “…But the other part knows it to be none of my business. Take care….”
She turned her back, grin replaced for a sharply arched brow. For now… Mael took slow steps away from the two, making a mental note to keep in mind their positions in the wooded area. Even if under a weird coincidence Miran was the little girl’s guardian, once nightfall came, emotions or personal attachments would no longer mean much. She stroked her chin, eyes dark at the idea of the little girl being slaughtered. Mael sighed, casting her gaze onto the sun. Until the moonlight hour…
(ooc: hmm…I think that will do. And sorry for the bits of control there Mikey, I’ll gladly edits something if ya have any problems…)

Alex looked to Kiera, then at the fish, at Kiera, at the fish. Can't lose control... can't lose control... can't lose control...
Fuck it
"RAW!!!"
Before poor Kiera could react, the boy choked down the fish. He swallowed, hard, to clear his throat, and fell on his back to look up at the dark skies of Woe with a lazy eye. But he remembered that they were on the run, and he probably just alerted the Lycanthrope to where they were. How could he be so careless? With a blush of embarrassment, he sat back up, and massaged the back of his neck - a nervous habit of his.
"I... am really sorry, Kiera, but I love..."
Humans don't like raw foods...
"You! Now, uh, I think we should get going!"
He leapt to his feet, and looked South. He could just see the silhouettes of Ebony Woods - thickets of trees.

(OOC: Not a single problem, Veddy! Thank you!)
IC: Miran watched carefully as the Torajin walked into the forest, disappearing in the shadows of the leaves and the hulking trunks of the trees. As she finally disappeared, he let out his breath in a loud exhalation, and relaxed his fighting pose. He could smell that she was gone. He groaned a little and wiped at his face, where her claws had made three marks down his cheek, wiping away the blood that was quickly congealing. He felt his fangs sucking back into his mouth, and his claws retracting into his fingertips, as he once again reverted to normal human appearances. He stood for a moment, absorbed in thought, as his body reverted.
The Torajin...she had been an amazing creature. Lithe, flexible, strong. Her fighting had been phenomenal, her attacks lightning fast and her body amazingly agile. He couldn't help but feel attracted to such a one such as she, graceful and powerful, and beautiful as well. Because she had been beautiful. Miran could feel it tugging at the human side of him, could feel his barriers weakening. His Wolf side, his Lycanthropic side, was quieter now in the daytime, and even though it still existed, wanting to rip the throat out of the deadly cat-enemy of the Lycans, old arch-foe to the canine peoples of Woe, he suppressed it. Instead, he let his still human side speak. And his human side could remember the beauty of her emerald eyes, the easy pointing of those ears, the way her body was as fluid as water but infinitely more powerful. He breathed out a sigh, feeling his human side completely enamored.
Suddenly, he remembered. The girl! Looking left, he saw her, hiding behind a tree. Her body was crouched down, close to the earth, and only the top of her head and her eyes could be seen peeking around the trunk of the tree. Those eyes...deep pools of fear, shockingly afraid and shockingly innocent. She shook in horror, and he knew she was wondering if he would try to kill her now, knew she was thinking that he was a bad guy, a horrible thing.... And he was. He was. But only at night. In the daytime...he was Miran Damacy, strong, attractive, and soft-hearted. The look that came into his eyes was a soft, kind, knowing one. One that was filled with love and tenderness. He opened his arms very slowly, holding them wide in a gesture of peace.
The little girl stared at him for a long time. Just staring and staring. Only five years old, and the stares she could give. They were...intense. Then, slowly, the fear faded from her emerald pools of fluid emotion. She no longer looked afraid...now she was merely...apprehensive. Standing up, she still peeked around the tree, staring at him, with his arms wide open. Suddenly, to his surprise and hers, she ran forward and jumped into him. He crouched and caught her in his arms, holding her close, giving her a solid, loving hug. And she snuggled into him, holding him tightly, hugging her "hero" for all she was worth. The stood as such for a long time, hugging each other, glad the threat was ended and the sun was shining. But then it hit him.
Two days. It was already midmorning. There was no way he could get to the nearest village in time. No way he could protect her from himself, should the sun set. He felt himself shiver in fear for her, and in utter loathing for himself. The feeling of hate and guilt spread like wildfire through his body. He HATED his Lycan blood. He HATED his transformations. He hated the horrible killing, the hunting, the utter loss of control. He felt the guilt of a hundred murders on his soul, could feel how horrible it was to transform, hated himself more than he hated anything in the entire world. Every time he became that thing, that monster, he felt unleashed, nothing holding him back. But when he became a man again...the guilt hit him. Hit him so hard, that every day, when the sun was bright, he considered sliding his push dagger along his wrists, watching the crimson flow as his life ebbed out of his body, until finally he would collapse, and feel an end to his pain. He thought about this every single day, wondering if it was worth it, wondering if living was even right. And now...now he had the little girl. He had to make sure she was safe. He had to make sure she was ok. He had to. Because if he didn't, and that sun set....her life was forfeit.
Still hugging her, crouched by the ground, he reached out and picked up his dagger and his throwing star, both having been dropped in the fight. He replaced them into his arm band, and then suddenly stood, still clutching the girl to his body. She looked at him curiously, her green eyes bright and so so trusting. He felt his heart pang with pain as she looked at him like that, and just wanted to tell her to stop it, that he was a monster, that she shouldn't trust him, not one bit. But he couldn't. He couldn't. Holding her up, he felt his arms start to ache again. He hadn't had a chance to rest from all the running because of the fight, and his arms ached from holding her, and his legs ached from the running. But he had no other choice. Taking the little girl, whose name he would probably never know, he swung her around onto his back, and made her wrap her arms and legs around him. Then...he took off.
Pushing hard, concentrating and really trying, he began a bit of a transformation. For a Lycan, any kind of forced transformation was difficult, and so he did not do much to his body. He simply made the muscles in his legs into his Lycan muscles, feeling them become more powerful, endowed with amazing endurance. He began to run, moving powerfully through the heavy trees, using his nose to guide him, sniffing his way to civilization. He would try to get there as fast as possible. He had to. If he didn't, this girl was dead. And so he ran off into the woods, as fast as he could make his muscles go, racing through the trees and hoping for a miracle.

Kiera blinked slowly, not quite comprihending what he'd said but stood up and stretched looking to the south as well. The trees ahead looked thick and dangerous, the air that seemed to waft out of them smelt rotten... almost dead. She smiled. "Ebon Woods smell like Kiera's home in Lizargia... smells like wet land uhh... Kiera think it called swamp or marsh..." she shrugged and then looked back at Alex despite her laid back appearance Kiera had been thinking ever since they'd landed. The boy would never be safe on his own, not with an entire pack of wolf-men hunting him and whatever else could go after him. There was something about Alex that drew the worst kind of people, he needed protection. Kiera must then... It is only Fitting his life is in my hands and it must be protected... Looking at the armlet on her arm she slipped the silver and gold armlet off and smiled fondly at it. The metals she had taken from the earth itself and forged from her own fire It was precious to her and it would be fitting that Alex have this as a sign of her promise. “Kiera dug the metal form the earth in Lizargia and melted them with Kiera’s own fire before forging them together into this armlet.” She remarked solemnly cradling the metal in her hands. “No fire but my fire may melt it and no strength but my own may break it….” She knelt and set the armlet on the ground and held out her right arm. Quickly she drove the thumb claw of her other arm into her wrist deeply letting the blood well about the deep gash no bigger then a thumb nail.
She lifted her bloody thumb and retrieved the armlet. Blood dripped from the wound and splashed on the ground. The grass where it hit sizzled and smoldered but did not catch fire. Her bloody thumb claw dragged across the metal armlets smooth surface. The metal hissing and dripping away from the armlet and pooling on the ground until a single solid rune was seen on it.
Looking at Alex Kiera smiled faintly and held out the armlet to the boy. “This armlet hold Kiera’s promise to you Alex written in blood, an oath ever binding to serve and protect… or die trying.” There was a brief silence before kiera smied again, “You might ask why Kiera does such a thing…. Kiera likes you Alex, Kiera’s instinct tells her you are worthy of such a trust. You are Kiera’s friend… Kiera has never had a friend before.”

Alex took the armlet with surgical hands, afraid that it would break, but knowing it could not. He was afraid that if it broke, he would be alone again. That... Kiera would be mad at him. That she would leave. And he did not want that. All his life, he has guarded the Stone. That is his duty. To make friends, to love, to experience the joys of life... that meant nothing to his Masters.
"Kiera, I..." can't...
He hung his head, looking down through the hair in his eyes. What could he do? He should push her away. He should run. He should save her. But he could not. Maybe he was selfish. Or maybe he knew his strong Lizargia comrade could fight off the darkness. But he chose, and he wiped away the tears threatening to fall.
"I... thank you, Kiera..."
He looked at his wrist, and snapped the armlet in place. It's beautiful... He thought, a priceless expression on his face. And he knew then, that Kiera and he, were destined to meet. And he hugged her, grateful that there was a being on this Earth that actually cared for him, and not the Stone, or his duty, or the Rift. But he realized what he was doing, and blushed, sheepishly letting go of the Dragon-hybrid.
"You don't know what this means to me, Kiera... I promise I'll keep it safe..." He grinned a lopsided grin.

Kiera smiled fondly at Alex and then looked to the forest. “It not far now the forest…” she sighed and looked ta her bleeding wrist and ran her thumb over it wipingthe blood away. The wound was deep enough to draw a good amount of blood, it would take a short while to stop. Looking at the tassel of fabric that hung from the knot and tore a shred off tying it over the wound and then knelt again allowing Alex onot her back. Kiera broke into a run one he was on securely moving towards the forest at a swift pace. * The trees behind the pair shifted and a large shape moved through the trees, its nose pressed to the ground as if following a trail. It let out a low rumble like thunder and looked up towards the Ebon Forest. Flicking its tail once the large creature let out something like a sigh and began padding towards the forest following the trail of Kiera and her charge. * Reaching the forest edge Kiera slowed and then stopped setting Alex down. Ebon Forest was full of thick foliage… too think for her to be able to fly if danger should arise. Yet the smell reminded her of home and almost seemed to draw Kiera in and at the same time her instinct warned her away from this place. Something was very wrong with this forest, it smelt too much of death. It chillder her in some way. “Kiera does not like this place….” She muttered and looked down at Alex. “But we will go on… however carrying you could be difficult it might be better if you walked…’ She frowned and stepped forward peering into the dark shadows of Ebon wood. A short way in she saw what looked to be a pile of rage covered in thick vine-like rope. odd Kiera thought and then entered moving towards the object. Reaching it she knelt down and pulled at the ropes, they came away in her claws easily breaking against her strength and sharp talons revealing what could only be a corpse… Flicking her hands Kiera tried to rid herself of the rope but it clung mercilessly, snorting she wiped her hands on a tree and saw it cling to the bark holding to it rather then her hands. “Eww is all Kiera have to say about that stuff…” looking back ta the corpse she saw it was dressed still in clothing and yet looked… drained like it had been sucked clean. The sight perplexed her but she was less interested in the body and more in the cloths. Looking over her shoulder she saw Alex following warily. She scrutinized him carefully looking the boy over before glancing back at the corpse. “These should do…” she muttered and proceeded to remove the cloths from the body and placed them on the ground. “Kiera think these will fit you Alex….” She paused and looked at the corpse there was something else behind it. Lifting the body away Kiera saw a strange object covered in dust. It was long and in some kind of cover. Picking it up she turned the thing upside-down and jumped as the cover stayed in her hand but the object within slid out with a audible ‘shing’. Landing on the ground the lustrous object lay on its side with a thud and remained there wile Kiera knelt and looked at it warily. “What this Alex?” Gingerly she picked it up on the long shiny side with its thin edges.

"That... is a sword, Kiera," Alex said as he was dressed in the dead man's clothing. He walked over to the Lizargian, and took the sword from her hands, explaining to her what a sword was as he examined the Scimitar, the Jesus pictures along the handle, and at the simplicity of the sword...
"Whoa..."
He gasped as he remembered the Magia. He was told by Ellie's father that they were "Messengers of Light", and "Divine Punishment", worshippers of God, and His son, Jesus. That they bordered Ebony Woods. But they did not wield swords, or for that matter, any weaponry for any means. So maybe this man was an Officer of sorts? A Warrior priest? But what could take down a Warrior Priest of Magia? Come to think of it, Ellie's father never did tell Alex the truth of Ebony Woods. What lurked here?
"Stand back, Kiera..."
Kiera saw just what these 'swords' were capable of as Alex swung as if he were a Master of Swordplay. As if the Scimitar, and the clothes, were left here with the corpse just for him. Coincidence? Maybe. But the boy sighed after the practice. A bead of sweat dripped from his chin, and he fastened the scabbard - which was painted with more pictures of Jesus, pictures from the Bible - to his hip, and sheathed the blade.
"Oh!"
Walking up to Kiera in his new, rather snug garb, he handed her the sash she let him wear, and smiled. "Thanks, by the way."

Taking the sash back she tied it around her waist again and looked into the forest. Over head the sky rumbled and Kiera winced. She hadn’t noticed the incoming storm, too preoccupied with keeping Alex and herself ahead of the wolf-men. Grabbing Alex’s arm she pulled him deeper into the forest eager to get them under cover in the thick forest. Lightning flashed overhead in the dark trees illuminating them like silvery shadows. Kiera sighed as the sound of rain was heard. Striking the leaves over head and trickling down to reach them in a light drizzle. “Rain… Kiera hate’s rain… loves water but hates rain…”
She slowed her pace and then stopped as they reached a thick part of trees where the rain was barely noticeable. “Kiera thinks we are staying here till storm passes….” Lightning flashed again illuminating the dark. Kiera moved away from Alex and stood on a soft area of ground. A soft crack made Kiera turn towards the shadows, she narrowed her eyes and growled. Something was out there… the rain made it impossible for her to scent what but she could hear it. Another bolt of lightning struck and Kiera saw a large shape move among the trees. It was smaller then a wolf-man but large, larger then a pony. It growled a deep throaty growl. Kiera froze, she knew that noise. Lightning struck again and the shape moved breaking into a run straight at her. Kiera’s eyes widened. The shape struck her head on and Kiera was sent flying, the immense shape weighing her down on the ground. Winded and daze Kiera groaned. Quickly as she could Kiera grabbed the weight ignoring its deep steady rumble that was unmistakably a purr and shoved the immense weight off. Lightning flashed overhead again and Kiera saw the outline of her attacker. Cat like and all muscle the creature continued to purr as Kiera held it off her, she sighed and looked at Alex who was standing there with wide terrified eyes. “This is Amory…” Kiera explained. “Amory is Kiera’s pet kitty in Lizargia… he been a bad boy and followed Kiera from home…” She sighed and looked at the large purplish cat with its black stripe down its neck and tow small barely noticeable black bumps a little above his eyes. Kiera sighed and bowed her head, closing her eyes, her ribs hurt after that tackle, Amory was heavy and playful but a good pet. He followed her everywhere if she was gone for longer then a few hours at a time.

Alex stared at the monsterous 'kitty', mouth wide. He looked at Kiera, then at the 'kitty', at Kiera, at the 'kitty', and at Kiera. "Kiera..." He began, pointing a finger at the 'kitty'. He took a deep breath, and shouted, "...THAT IS A FUCKING BEHEMOTH!!!"

Kiera stared at Alex blankly then looked ta Amory, then back at Alex before looking at amory again. 'oh..." she grinned sheepishly. "That would explain soooo much... but... Amory is still Kiera's pet... Baby behemoth or not and Amory is nice... he not hurt you..." she winced as she took a breaht her ribs hurt terribly. As if to verify what Kiera said Amory stood up and walked over to Alex, he sniffed gently at alex and circled him before giving Alex a lick on the face with his rough sand-paper like tongue. Kiera smilled. "see Amory like's Alex, he not hurt you.... but.. Kiera hurts in places she shouldn't hurt and... evenr Kieras hurts, have hurts after all the fighting and Amory's playfulk pounce so... Kiera is going to nap now...' she closed her eyes nad flopped back onot the ground laying where Amory had tackled her otthe ground and did't budge an inch. Yawning Amory revealed a set of long sharp fangs and headbutted Alex purring deeply before trotting over to Kiera. He circled three times and then laid down his head resting on Kiera's stomach with his paws either side of his head purring deeply and contently.

It was dinner time.
No raw, fresh meat, however, only dried fruits and other such dull foods. Luci always allowed her servants to eat with her. She would be alone otherwise. The three chatted and giggled while Lucifana picked at her food. After her weekend at Urogans she had been deprived of fresh prey, and she longed for it.
Then, just as the lightning outside cracked, and she was about to feed herself another bit of fruit, she smelled it.
-----------------------------------
"I'm going for a walk girls." was all she said as she stood up from the table, grabbed her weapons and wrapped herself in an emerald cloak. She hooded herself and stole into the night, that delicious sent the only thing guiding her. The rain that fell did not bother her, but it did lead her the wrong way and cause her to lose that mouth watering scent a few times. Hissing as she lost it once more, Luci paused to look at her surroundings. She knew that she was less than a mile from her own house, and that she had been walking in circles most the time, but she could sense herself getting closer...
Within minutes she picked up the scent, and had them in her sites. Yes, perfect, a boy... But what is that he is accompanied by? Is that? But why? What would their kind be doing out here? With a scowl, Luci realized she had to wait longer than expected. She sat, watching them talk, set up a small camp for themselves, and lay in the marsh, waiting out the storm. That was when the arachnid made her move.
Making sure no one but the boy could see her, she walked in his field of vision, appearing like a phantom in the mist. She looked straight into his eyes, her own beckoning him closer, away from the camp. Her feet made no sound as she turned and walked away, knowing few could resist following. She hid behind a tree and dropped her cloak, leaving her in a simple but enticing dress, a low v-neck, a corset back, all accentuating her best features.
Come and play little one...
